Circulation Policy

Library circulation policies are designed to ensure prompt and equitable access to library materials by all users.

Who can borrow library materials?

  • Students currently enrolled in BISU
  • Faculty and staff currently employed in BISU
  • Teaching staff, researchers, and students from other BISU Campuses may use/borrow the materials inside the library after
  • Presenting their University ID, and recommendation letter issued by the Campus Director/Campus Librarian
  • Researchers from other colleges and universities and/or members of the public may use the materials inside the library after presenting recommendation letter issued by the Agency or Company and after paying library access fee to the cashier

Requirements to borrow library materials

  • The library card/University identification card is the key to accessing library services
  • New students may present their Certificate of Registration (COR) if their University ID is still on process
  • For new instructors (full time), the faculty load and recommendation from the Dean of the College will be presented to the library staff
  • For COS instructors, the book card/s are signed by the Chairperson/Dean of the college/department

Circulating

  • All books located at Undergraduate/Reference Section, Filipiniana Section, Engineering Section, Undergraduate Section, Teacher Education Section and Graduate School Section can be borrowed for three days and can be renewed thrice
  • Reserved books can be borrowed for overnight use
  • Audio-visual materials can be checked out by the faculty members for
    review

Non-circulating

  • General reference books, such as encyclopedia, dictionaries, handbooks, manuals, yearbooks, atlases, theses, and dissertations
  • Periodicals: newspapers, magazines, and journals including information
    files
